Review : Balakrishnudu

Not ambitious of scoring hits or flops Nara Rohit has added another feather to his bouquet of successes with Jyo Achutananda, Appatlo Okkadundevadu and Shamantaka Mani has come out with a commercial movie-Balakishnudu .

The movie produced by Sarasa Chandrika Visionary Mohan Pictures and Maya Bazaar Movies double U director Pavan Mallela has hiked expectations of his fans .

Story:

Past factions between Bhanumati Devi (RamyaKrishna) and Ajay ( Pratap Reddy result in her niece Adya(Regina) being targeted by him and appointment of Balu(Nara Rohit) as her bodyguard .As love springs between Adya and Balu, the story takes a twist with faction leader Ajay escaping from prison and attempts to murfer the girl. For clearing suspense view it on screen

Plus points:

Pruthvi comedy, Regina glamour ,Production values

Minus factors :

Weak story, Music and boring second half

Performance of actors :

It appears that Nara Rohit is not meant for commercial films and should stick to his routine themes. His claim of reducing weight for film is also not visible. It is better less said about Rohit’s skills in fights and dances .

Regina role is made for only glamour and no scope for acting in the film.
Same was Ramya krishna role which faded after initial bursts and further worsened in the climax scene.

Villain Ajay is not new to such roles it appears .
Thirty years Pridhvi, regales audience with his comedy timing and dialogue delivery and his role keeps the audience on their chairs in the film.
Rest of Vanne Kishore, Raghu Babu Srinivas Reddy have done justice to their roles .

Technical wing :

Appears Melody Brahma Mani Sharma is out of track as both the songs and background music is lopsided and unsound to ears .
Vijay Kumars cinematography is Ok.
Story by Kolusu Raja is old wine in new bottle and nothing new and marketable.

Editing is weak and dialogues are dull, but Production values are just ok.
Director Pavan Mallela should have chosen a better story to display his talent as a director. A riff-raff story, obsolete combinations and dull dialogues have just thrown audience to Gods mercy .

Finally :

Nara Rohit should have chosen a better story when he wanted to be on commercial and mass route. Audience come out of theatres with a feeling of watching an old and routine movie.Comedy of Thirty years Prudhvi is perhaps the only saving grace in the film. The title should be Boring Krishnudu rather than Balakrishnudu
.
