Cast and performance

Sai Dharam Tej as Jai, a RSS member is in terrific form. He is improving and unleashing the better version of him with every movie he is doing. Mehreen Pirzada as Bhargavi, the love interest of Jai is nice. She looks too good in the movie. Prasanna as Keshav, childhood friend of Jai is superb. He is an apt finding for the role he has done. Kota Srinivasarao is nice in his brief role which sets the pace of the movie. Subbaraj as an accomplice of antagonist is as usual. Nagababu is good. All other actors did act well for the roles they are given.

Verdict

When science invent something for the benifit of the people, it automatically tend to have its side effects. Jawaan movie is all about removing these side effects due to that invention and make it benifit to the nation. Director and writer BVS Ravi wrote an interesting story and narrated it well in the first half and he faltered in engaging audience with his screenplay in second half. In addition to that, the love track between the leads acts as speed breaker and Mehreen is just used as a glamour doll in this movie. BVS Ravi has written some interesting dialogues and the dialogues in the scene where Sai Dharam Tej utters about nation and responsibilities of a citizen are whistleworthy. Jawaan is a good attempt with some interesting moments when minuses are ignored.
