Artists Performances:
Mohanlal is definitely a complete actor. He weighs heavy, but the efforts he put in for fights are really far-fetched. Though Mohanlal is known for doing concept-based films, he tried commercial film with Manyam Puli and he fit the bill perfectly. There are several heroism elevation sequences and Mohanlal appeared like a real tiger is ready to hunt. He gave best for action sequences. He was equally splendid in emotional sequences too. Kamalini Mukherjee played the role of Mohanlal’s wife credibly. Bala has got meaty role. Jagapathi Babu was wasted completely. In fact, movie appeared sluggish in most of scenes he appeared. Namitha is used to fill glamor part. Kishore is good. Other artists are okay.

Technical Aspect:
Director Vysakh stunned one and all by making a pure commercial film with Mohanlal. Though the film doesn’t have convincing story, he could made the film watchable with his making. He dealt few crucial scenes like- child Mohanlal hunting tiger, Mohanlal becomes emotional when his brother becomes sponsor and his bonding with Lal. However, the director should have taken extra care on second half. Gopi Sunder provided wonderful tunes and background score was captivating throughout. Shaji Kumar’s cinematography is top-notch. Nonetheless, Peter Heins master composed fights are best part of the film. The tiger was a CG model, but looked like a real animal. Production values are high in standard.

Though the film is a commercial entertainer, it has some emotional sequences. Bonding between Mohanlal with other characters is rocking. Nonetheless, the film appeared lethargic in second half.
