At the first look launch of '2.0' when the media asked Rajinikanth when would he share screen space with Salman, after having worked with Shah Rukh Khan and now with Akshay, Rajinikanth said "If Salman says yes, I’ll work with him in a film even tomorrow”. Talking about the director of the film, he said, “To work with Shankar is difficult. He is a perfectionist. That is why he is one of the biggest directors. This picture as 3D is a different experience," he added. Akshay also spoke about his experience with the Superstar. He said, "Rajinikanth is not a superstar, he is the entire galaxy. He has got the swag. Few years back his film Baba didn't do good business and he called all his distributors and returned their money. This is the sign of the biggest superstar." The film 2.0 is a sequel to 2010 superhit Robo. While the film is all set to release on Diwali in 2017, it is already making news. Other than Rajinikanth and Akshay, it also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.
