BJP Trims Loan to Amaravati by Half
If you feel the two rotten laddus offered by the BJP to the people of AP are insufficient, here is a great news for you as the BJp offered one more rotten laddu for you. Reports are that the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) under the Union Ministry of Finance has reportedly reduced the loan amount to US $500 million only instead of the initial US $1 billion for the construction of the capital Amaravati.
Earlier, the DEA had given in principle approval for US $1 billion loan but subsequently realised that rules did not permit the quantum in a single tranche. Accordingly, the loan proposal was cut down by half,” defend their act by the party’s sources.
Whatever it is, the BJP appeared to have been taking revenge on the people of AP for unknown reasons declining all the demands of the people. Unfortunately, the ruling TDP government is not in a position to fight back at the center due to court issues on the CM.
