DSP, A Wrong Choice By Krish For GPS
Right from selection of Satavahana ruler’s story for BalaKrishna’s milestone 100th film to picking up of Shriya, Hema Malini and entire technical team along with production management from Rajeev Reddy, every move made by director Krish to make ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ a memorable film for Nandamuri Fans proved perfectly alright. However, the first and big mistake made by Krish now appears like Devi Sri Prasad as music director is a wrong choice.
Apparently, film circles are buzzing a lot on DSP opting to move out from this assignment owing to different reasons unquoted. While some say Krish and Balayya are unsatisfied with DSP’s work, others said it was DSP who isn’t happy with the two. Whatever the exact reasons may be, many believe that Devi Sri Prasad is more popularized for composing commercial, mass-masala and high on beat songs. He never worked for historical backdrop projects which require thorough understanding of the time frame and analyzing socio-cultural equations prevailed during those times. In contrast, DSP can be a zig-saw-fit for Chiranjeevi’s 150th flick (remake of ‘Kaththi’).
Seniors like AR Rahman or Ilayaraja or Mani Sharma would be apt choices for Krish to choose one. Let us see, how Krish and Balayya rectify their mistake without delaying the film’s release for coming Sankranti season.
