Gorgeous actress Deepika Padukone has finally managed to break a barrier which has been proving to be a roadblock to most of the actresses in the industry. In an industry in which male stars rule the roost, and are paid much higher than their female counterparts, Deepika is slowing seeming to change the rule. If reports by a city-based daily are to be believed, Deepika will be paid Rs 12.65 crore for her latest film, making her the first female actor to break out of the Rs 10-crore barrier. Reflecting her standing in the industry, she has been steadily increasing her remuneration movie after movie.

This will be Deepika Padukone's third consecutive film with the director, after Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani. The actor will shortly be seen making her Hollywood debut in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel.
