Rajinikanth's Kabali has finally hit the screens on Friday, and the much awaited movie is playing at the silver screens for a treat to the fans. According to sources the movie starring the superstar and Radhika Apte alongside him has reportedly raked in mooolah of $1.45 M from its US premiere itself. By virtue of it, it has essentially crossed the $1,382,076 earned by SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali during its US premiere. Additionally news coming in is that it has reportedly become the highest opening day grosser in the US as well.
When it comes to India, especially in south, Kabali has gotten off to a terrific start, with theaters reportedly putting up the houseful board for all the shows over the weekend. With all the tickets being sold out the opening day figures are expected to be around the Rs 35 crore mark. Moreover, it has reportedly already collected over Rs 200 crores through satellite sales, music rights, theatrical rights etc.
