Gentleman Posed No Threat For A… Aa
How strong the media push may be, a film stands good at Box Office only when public appreciate it for the content and projection. Nani’s new movie ‘Gentleman’ released last week enjoyed a decent opening with strong promotions and balanced word of mouth publicity. Unlike Nani’s last super hit ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy,’ this film isn’t minting big money.
According to a trade buzz, revenues dropped drastically for ‘Gentleman’ from Monday and repeats are almost zero. In contrast, ‘A… Aa’ is still favorite pick for family and youth audience with ticket counters maintaining the sustainability in crowd pull. In Overseas, ‘Gentleman’ showed a strong decline right from Sunday. On Saturday, the movie grossed $ 202,412 while on Sunday it’s just $ 121,089 taking the total to $ 537,490. Monday being a working day, further decline is anticipated.
‘A… Aa’ performance in the USA is quite strong. Till Sunday, the film recorded awesome gross of nearly $2.4 Million equal to Rs. 16.12 Crores. No way, ‘Gentlman’ posed a strong opposition to Nithin, Samanta and Trivikram. In this case, ‘Gentleman’ business would sure come to a closure ater the second weekend. Yet again, a classic example on what audience are anticipating from Nani.
