2. BGM
3. Production Values

Negatives:

2. Boring Screenplay
3. Soori
4. Weak Villain
5. Climax

Analysis:

Mass audiences have special concern for Singham series. Since producers promoted the film as story has connection with Andhra the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, expectations were multiplied. Moreover, Suriya and Hari combination always created sensations at box office. However, coming to the actuality, Singam 3 is nowhere nearer to Singam earlier versions, in terms of content and pace. While the first two parts were racy and entertaining, the latest part neither has strong story, nor was screenplay engaging or pleasing. Like first parts, Suriya is appointed for a special cause which takes him to solve much bigger issue linked to it.

While first half was boring with Suriya waiting for his turn to speed up investigation, pace will amplify somehow in second half with hero taking on villain. Though director Hari tried to make the film as a racy entertainer with his technique of fast-editing, lack of potential content and distressing comedy bits turn harmful.

Artists Performances:
Suriya is at his usual best. He has portrayed the role of police officer Narasimhan capably. In fact, he is seen in most of frames ever since he makes entry. While he had space for comedy in Singam previous parts, his character is full on action-mode in the new installment. His styling in songs is good. Anushka Sharma who is part of all Singam franchises has got nothing much to perform. In fact, she was given very less space. She looked heavy. Shruti Haasan was glamorous in songs. However, her episodes with Soori test our patience. Thakur Anoop Singh who played main antagonist is major drawback. He appeared almost nothing before Suriya, wherein the character Danny in Singam 2 played crucial role. Soori was unbearable. Radhika Sarathkumar was cool in a brief role. Neetu Chandra sizzled on a special song. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:
Irrespective of content, Hari’s films appear racy, because of his ‘special treatment’. However, the magic was missing in Singam 3. He should have chosen a better subject. Few dialogues were powerful. Harris Jayraj provided songs were mediocre, whereas background was stimulating. The composer has used DSP’s ‘Singam’ theme music, which made great impact. Priyan’s cinematography was brilliant. Editing by Jay and Vijay was okay. While shot-cutting was sharp, length they locked is a big downside. Production values of Studio Green are top notch.

Verdict:
Singam 3 completely disappoints regular movie goers, though mass audience may enjoy the film somewhat for action episodes. Overall, the film has fewer chances to survive at box office.
