Creative director Krishna Vamsi has been facing failures off late. His last film Govindudu Andarivadele that starred Ram Charan too ended as a debacle at box office. The director is pretty confident to deliver super hit with his ongoing project Nakshatram which is in last leg of shooting.
Krishna Vamsi started the film long ago with Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra playing lead roles. Budget of the film has been increased and distributors didn't show much interest to buy it. Then, Krishna Vamsi roped in mega hero Sai Dharam Tej to play an important role of a tough cop.
Actually, Sudeep of Eega fame was supposed to play the cameo role. But, to attract buyers, KV replaced Sudeep with SDT. Then, the director increased length of the character and zeroed in spicy siren Pragya Jaiswal to essay SDT’s lady love.
It is heard that, the makers are now getting calls regarding theatrical rights for several regions. But, they are demanding more to what the buyers are offering.
On the flip side, SDT is also going through lean phase as his last movie Thikka turned out as a disaster. Will buyers invest such big amounts being quoted by Nakshatram makers?
