Mohan Raja directed Thani Oruvan was a blockbuster in Tamil with the movie grossing over Rs 50 crores for full run. More than the film’s lead actor Jayam Ravi, its villain played by Aravind Swamy was lauded for his outstanding performance as a business tycoon. There were many speculations on who would reprise Aravind Swamy in Telugu version after producer Allu Aravind announced to remake it with his nephew mega power star Ram Charan playing the protagonist.
Names like Madhavan, Aadhi Pinishetty were surfaced. But, finally, the makers roped in Aravind Swamy for the remake version too, since they couldn’t find any replace for him. Dhruva has completed all the works including censor and the cop thriller film is due for release on 9th of December. The big question is who will get prime credit in Telugu version- Ram Charan or Aravind Swamy.
Apparently, Aravind Swamy will again dominate the show if the makers haven’t made enough changes to script. If not, we need to wait and see whether Charan will have upper hand over Aravind Swamy or not.
