Rumours have been spreading thick and fast that Salman Khan is set to replace lead actor Saif Ali Khan in the third instalment of Race franchise. But putting an end to all these speculations and rumours , filmmakers Abbas-Mastan have rubbished the reports. 'We have not narrated any idea to Salman. We are yet to take a call on 'Race 3'. Next year we will decide about the casting and other details of the film. The writers are working on the script. We haven't heard the story so we can't say anything about casting. There are reports that Salman is going to be part of the third part of the film but the fact is work is in progress so it's too early to say anything," they said. Asked if Saif and Anil will feature in the third part as well, the filmmakers said, "Not decided the characters yet. The first two parts of the action thriller franchise have done well commercially. The first film released in 2008, starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles while its sequel Race 2, released in 2013, which featured Deepika Padukoneand John Abraham.
