Aamir Khan was recently asked about demonetisation when he was at the wedding of wrestler Geeta Phogat in Haryana. The Dangal star finally entered the venue, dressed in crisp white kurta-pajama, a black Nehru jacket, and a red safa adorning his head. Along with him were co-star Sakshi Tanwar and Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, and the cast. Geeta is a daughter of former wrestler Mahavir Phogat, played by Aamir Khan in upcoming film Dangal. When reporters asked him what effect did demonetisation have on the wedding, given that weddings are the worst-hit markets of all, Aamir had a short, prompt response up his sleeve. "I had no issues with arrangements for the wedding." When probed further on whether or not Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move had any effect on him, as a person, Aamir laughed, "All my money is in the bank." And what about payments? "All my payments are via cheques!" said the actor.
