Amid protests and threats by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) which wants Pakistani actors and artists to leave India, reports are in that, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has left India and that he has no plans to come back anytime soon. Fawad Khan was in India to promote his upcoming film ‘Ae Dil e Mushkil’. A newspaper quoting a source in Karan Johar's production house said that Fawad left India as his wife is about to deliver a baby in September. In light of the Uri attack that killed 18 soldiers last week, the MNS issued a 48-hour deadline on Friday to Pakistani artistesto leave the country after which "they would be pushed out". Mumbai Police joint commissioner, Deven Bharti had assured complete protection for these artistes saying, "All foreign nationals, who are in Mumbai on valid documents provided by Government of India, need not worry. We will provide adequate protection as and when required." Karan Johar's Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, and Anushka Sharma-starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be releasing in October.
