Janatha Garage Becomes One More Sarrainodu!
Is critics’ verdict different from audience verdict? Do all reviews reflect the common pulse of general viewers? How far reviews can be gauged as a right dimension to anticipate Box Office verdict upfront? Last few movies, Telugu industry witnessed an ever widening gap between critics’ judgment and overall commercial run. Ratings have become no proper means to strike a balance with commercials of a film.
Last week released ‘Janatha Garage’ which although had its own share of technical lapses, the film has done enough wonders on trade front, if reports from Mythri Movies office are assumed transparent. Few months back, similar was the scenario when Allu Arjun’s ‘Sarrainodu’ wiped off by reviewers as routine-mass-masala-action flick, the audience judgment was totally dissimilar and Stylish Star got his best numbers recorded.
‘Janatha Garage’ distinctly followed ‘Sarrainodu’ path in carving special records of its own. Breaking 50 Crores barrier in just two to three days, the film has not only enhanced Tarak’s potentiality but has also put him into Top league with three back to back commercial hits. Time has come for our reviewers and analysts to start amending their respective modus operandi.
