Rana Wants To Make A Film On Indian Wrestler Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu
Macho hero Rana Daggubati is fond of sports. He is brand ambassador for Telugu Titans Team of Pro Kabaddi league and is regularly coming to watch most of the matches played by our Telugu team. Very few people know that Rana trained to become a boxer long before considering acting as a career.
Displaying his adore for wrestling, Rana proclaimed his wish to do the biopic on iconic wrestler Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu from Vizianagaram, popularly known as Indian Hercules. “He was accorded the title of Kaliyuga Bheema by King George VI have grown up reading about him in text books and I’m researching the man. I’d love to play him on screen,” said Rana in an interview to leading English daily.
It may be mentioned here that, besides being a renowned body builder, Kodi Ramamurthy had participated in the freedom struggle as well. It is good to hear a Telugu hero willing to make a biopic on our own Telugu Legend.
Currently, Rana is shooting for Rajamouli directing Baahubali 2 and is simultaneously working for Telugu-Hindi film Ghazi. Rana will next work with director Teja for a political drama film that will start rolling from August.
