According to the director of the film, Ranjith, Super Star Rajinikanth shot for 75 days with his original white beard, which will stand as the biggest highlight of the entire film.
Kabali is Rajnikanth's 159th film and he will be playing the character of a don. Rajini's previous avatar as a don was in 'Baasha', in which he portrayed a stylish Mumbai-based don.
The gangster drama will be the first movie to be dubbed and released in Malay language. Malay is an Austronesian language mostly spoken in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand. It will also be released in Telugu, Hindi and Japanese and will get a Chinese release in a couple of months.
Apparently, the Rajinikanth starrer is loosely based on the life a gangster called Kabaleeshwaran who hails from Mylapore in Chennai.
The car drift shown in the teaser of the film was performed by Rajinikanth himself without any dupe. The whole team, including the stunt choreographers, were stunned by the the Superstar's driving skills.
This will be the first time Rajinikanth working with a new team after two decades. In almost every film, Rajinikanth always works with established people in the industry. But ‘Kabali’ has broken all these norms as the director, music composer, cast and also crew is somewhat new and inexperienced.
