In the ever growing list of actors turning playback singers, there is yet another name to be added to it. Sonakshi Sinha, who released her single Aaj Mood Ishqaholic Hai in December 2015, will soon make her playback debut with AR Murugadoss’s Akira. She follows Priyanka Chopra, who created a space for herself in the international market with several music albums, Alia Bhatt and Shruti Haasan, Shraddha Kapoor who’ve lent their voices for songs in their own films. Speaking about the song she said, “It (the song) is about how the girl will not stay silent, but fight back and that’s the spirit of the song. We were shooting the music video and every time I went to give a shot I would end up singing it with all my zest. It’s just one of those songs. So the producers suggested that I should record it as well.

The story is about her fight to come out of a case, where the college goons, a corrupt cop played by Anurag Kashyap and another played by Konkona Sen Sharma play crucial components.
